Adult help needed for this project. 1. Cut a circle of paper 6 inches or more in diameter. 2. Fold it in half. 3. Then fold it in thirds. 4. Fold it in half once more. 5. Cut notches and shapes along the edges to make a design. 6. Unfold the snowflake.
FEED THE BIRDS AND OTHER ANIMALS.
Adult help needed for this project. During the cold weather
in the north, many birds migrate to warmer areas but some remain. Leave
seeds, nuts, corn, breadcrumbs, raisons, fruit, and water out for them.
Look for birds and other animals that winter in your area. You may see
red cardinals, bluejays, chickadees, woodpeckers, blackbirds, crows,
etc.; squirrels; deer; rabbits; etc. Draw a picture of the animals you
see. Write a story about winter animals.
