APPLE PRINTS. Adult help needed for this project. 1. Slice an apple in half and dip it in poster paint or colored ink. Make sure to place newspaper under the paint paper. 2. Press the apple onto white paper, making a design of different colors. You should be able to see the inner lines of the apple. 3. You can makes cards, gift wrap, decorate reports or book covers, etc.

APPLE CRISP. Adult help necessary for this project. Core apples and cut in thin slices. Leave skins on or peel. Place in a bowl with oil. Sprinkle sugar (or other sweetener) over apples to taste. Add cinnamon and/or nutmeg (optional). Dip pieces in sifted un-bleached flour or crispy cereal. Place in baking dish. Cover and bake in moderate oven (350-375 degrees F.) for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake for another 15 minutes.

Change one given word to another given word by altering one letter at a time, each alteration making a new word, the number of letters being always the same, and the letters always in the same order. Example: Change lamp to fire in 4 moves. LAMP: LAME, FAME, FARE, FIRE. Now you change 1. SILK to WOOL in 6 moves. 2. BOY to MAN in 3 moves. 3. TWO to TEN in 3 moves.

Ingredients: apples, cinnamon, sugar (can be brown, white, or honey). Directions:1. PEEL and slice the apples. 2. STEAM the slices of apples in a pan with water. 3. DRAIN the apples from the water. 4. MASH the apples. 5. ADD cinnamon and sugar to taste. Note: This can be made without sugar if desired. Use apple juice, other sweet juices or natural jams for sweeteners. Use spices to enhance taste.
